Fermat’s Last Cake

Fermat's Last Cake

Do you like math? Do you like cake? I like both. Especially delicious cake.

I was trolling round Flickr and found this. Its a cake baked by Lisa “Uber Trick” Margreet. And it looks awesome yo.

In case you don’t see what’s so awesome about it, its actually a cake with the icing forming Fermat’s Last Theorem.

Fermat’s Last Theorem states:

xn + yn = zn ; no solution for x,y,z if n>2

And you find on the cake, xn + yn != zn. Well, I suppose that says Fermat’s Last Theorem as well, but not quite accurate. Ah well. If I have cake, I’d forget Fermat for a while.

Sorry I haven’t been updating in a long while. It’s been really busy for me. That said, if you have baked a math cake and are in the east coast of Australia (Brissie, Sydney or Melb), you’re free to send me a cake (assuming Auspost doesn’t squash it). If you can’t do that, you can send me pictures of your baked math cake!
