RSW: Descent to Oblivion

As it turns out, mathematicians are extremely curious about stuff like spirals. Today’s math-art is submitted again by Manny Lorenzo. I looked through all the artworks he created, and he has had curiously created a lot of spirals.

This spiral, uninspiringly called Artifact 3057c2 2, is in fact formed by a Fibonacci spiral, or also known as a logarithmic spiral. From the angle rendered, it looks very much like a descent to oblivion.

Anyone reminded of Dante’s Inferno?
