First Image

I thought I’d start out with one of the most beautiful things in mathematics first - fractals.

This fractal image is called Sun Flare. It was generated with two fractals which are then overlaid. The first fractal is a Mandelbrot fractal (that’s the yellow thing in the middle), and the second is a Julia-set fractal.

I used a fractal generating software called ChaosPro (which in fact, Sun Flare is one of the presets in ChaosPro). You can get ChaosPro for free here. Another fractal program I use is UltraFractal, but we’ll leave that for another day, eh, because sometimes, free things in life can be good. :D
